What's New
The Summer and the New at She Chocolat
Our degustation (a seven course dinner interweaving chocolate & savoury with wine matches) every Friday & Saturday evening over the summer has been a wonderful success.
 'We had the degustation menu which was beautifully matched with Pegasus wines. The food was fantastic, all had a chocolate component which suited my chocoholic heart to a tee, especially the venison and vanilla mash, delicious. The atmosphere made for a really lovely evening with one of the staff members even breaking out a violin a couple of times for back ground music. We also had to get some takeaway truffles too as we have had them before and are irresistable! Definately be heading back!'

Summer Creativity
Our founder, Bernie Prior, has been creating some beautiful new heart inspiring features and sculptures around She for you to enjoy.

Lots of fun at the Children’s Chocolate School and lots of cleaning up!!
The children’s chocolate school was so much fun that I have posted new dates for the Easter holidays. It was a truly beautiful experience to be part of children expressing so openly and joyously in their creativity.
Our Organic Gardens are bearing incredible bountiful produce...
...and are supplying the kitchen with such abundance that we now have a vegetable stand with the most amazing organic vegetables for sale at She.
She at the New Zealander of the Year awards:
 We were invited to create a chocolate for the New Zealander of the Year Awards dinner and thus a new chocolate called the Kiwi Spirit has been created. The flavours cannot be revealed until after the ceremony on the 16th of February. All will be revealed in our next newsletter!

She's Chocolate Bus
 Yes we plan to open up in a suburb near you via our Chocolate Bus.
We have been looking for four sites around Christchurch to bring the chocolate Bus to one day a week, and to run her as a Chocolate café, Shop and Evolutionary Cinema. So many spaces have opened up around Christchurch. We would love your help in this creative project:
Suggest a space in the city that you feel would be perfect for the Chocolate Bus.

What's happening around the world with Chocolate?
 The World's first chocolate theme park:
China’s World Chocolate Wonderland has opened in Shanghai’s Himalaya Art Museum. On display are some 200 pieces of chocolate art. Highlights include a replica of Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s Terracotta Warriors crafted entirely from chocolate, a traditional Chinese dragon and a flowing chocolate recreation of Shanghai’s Huangpu River.
The project attempts to “blend Western and Eastern cultures to make a clever and creative combination.”
